Product InformationThe Leupold Prismatic Tactical 1x14mm Rifle Scope offers multiple advantages to any gun. It has a large ocular 1x14 with no magnification and a non-magnifying red Circle Plex Sight. The most important advantage is that you can shoot with both eyes open, giving you faster target acquisition. This gives you greater eye relief, an extensive field of view, and a parallax view. The parallax view allows for greater depth perception and a better aim point. The crisp, clear center dot gives you a fast-action aiming point. Since the image is etched rather than projected, the dot is always clear rather than fuzzy. This sight has the center red dot sight visible without being illuminated. This allows it to be stealthy in a variety of hunting or tactical conditions. Leupold has the image etched into the glass lens, so it is not necessary to use illumination of the reticle during daylight hours. This saves greatly on power. The Circle Plex Reticle itself can be used for a quick distance estimate. This is one of the simplest, most intuitive optic scopes made by Leupold. Keep both eyes open, superimpose the center dot on whatever it is you want to shoot, and squeeze the trigger. You can go from the deep brush shooting at fast-moving game to a tactical situation clearing a structure. If the action is up close and personal and you need an immediate reaction, this piece of equipment offers exemplary performance. The length of the Prismatic scope measures a mere 4.5 inches. The package includes an Integrated Base System. The Picatinny-style mounting system offer fully adjustable bracket rail mounts and three adjusters or shims, allowing a choice of four heights. This adds the ability to mount the scope to any rifle. Use of the reticle, which has the image etched into the glass of the lens, is not battery dependent. The illumination module lights the red dot, so you can remove the module, and the dot returns to black. There are eight power settings, allowing the shooter to adjust for changing light all the way down to night vision. If the scope is switched off and then back on, it automatically returns to the last power setting. There is even low battery indicator. With zero magnification and both eyes open wide, this scope is perfect for shooters with astigmatism or other eyesight impairment. With the one-piece aircraft-aluminum tube, one of the thickest Leupold has ever manufactured, ensures a lifetime of dependability. It also maintains the waterproof, fog proof, and shockproof construction for the life of the gear. The elevation and windage adjustments are similar to conventional scopes and offer 70 clickable adjustments. Each click adjustment represents one half of one minute of angle.
